Turrets are essential for base defence. It's tough and can do significant damage, especially when fully upgraded. A good choice is to build tank traps, minefields or walls in front of turrets for extra defence and to make it easier to pick off enemies.

However, turrets are expensive in power, costing 235 power. As such, it's a good idea to build up a good economy first.
